Frequent patterns mining is a very important step in association rules mining algorithms. We can divide the association rule mining algorithms into two categories: the first, use the Apriori principle to generate frequent patterns and the second, use frequent pattern trees. The second method has a better performance than the first one because of avoiding scanning the database multiple times and generating candidate patterns. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to construct frequent pattern tree (FP tree) without sorting transactions according to the order of the header table and a parallel algorithm to construct FP tree on shared memory using OpenMP.

Some Studies on
the State of General Queueing Network Type G/G/J (J ∈ N+)

In this paper, we show the results of some studies on the state of queueing network type G/G/J. Specifically if Xj (t) (j = 1, J) which is the state of node j at the time t ( Xj (t) is the number of jobs in node j at the time t), the state of the queueing network is vecto X(t) = (X1(t),..., XJ (t)); our collected study resutls feature Xj (t) processes, and multi-dimensional X(t) processes in under general arrival flow as well. Beside main results, this paper also gives the results (as corollaryts) the nature and characteristics of the queueing network: Evaluating the throughput of each node and the throughput of the whole network, congestion probability assessment, and evaluation of mean queue length ... At the same time we also offer a method of dividing job most effectively.

The paper presents an extension of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The additional components are Expert and Clinical Council which involves remote practitioners for improving diagnosis and clinical care of the patient. SOA technology facilitates extending and modifying the system by constructing new services based on existing ones. The extended system can be used in distributed medical practice and is aimed at setting high-quality diagnosis in short term.

Visualize a Soldier’s Viewing in A Virtual Battlefield.

In military, the viewing ability of a soldier plays an important role in his fighting effectiveness. In a battlefield, the soldier has to choose the best location to be able to control the largest region. Computing the viewable scene from the soldier’s location is complicated because it must be consid-ering to many other blocking objects. This paper presents an approach and proposes an algorithm to visualize the viewing of a soldier with consideration to the blocking of terrain and other obstacles in a virtual batlefield. The result is used for evaluate a tacticle case in a tacticle based simulation systems.

Context-dependent Labels for

In an HMM-based speech synthesis system, a text input has to be converted to context-dependent labels before being trained or synthesized. This paper proposes the improvement of a context- dependent labeling for Vietnamese text. We have identified the contextual factors of Vietnamese base on rules to generate the context-dependent labels for training and synthesizing Vietnamese speech using an HMM-based speech synthesis system. The experimental results show that the intelligibility and naturalness of synthetic speech was significantly improved.

EACTP: An Improved Data Collection Tree Protocol for
Wireless Sensor Networks

Currently, data collection protocols have attracted the attentions of sensor network research community. In these protocols, Collection Tree Protocol (CTP) is the most interested. Some recent researches [1, 2, 3] have illustrated that CTP is a reliable and efficient protocol. However, CTP also has some disadvantages that need to overcome. In this paper, we propose and design an Energy Aware Collection Tree Protocol (EACTP) in order to balance sensor nodes’ energy of the routes that have good link quality and improve the lifetime of sensor nodes. EACTP uses the link quality metric (ETX - Expected Transmission) and the energy state of sensor nodes to select the optimal route. The simulation results show that EACTP guarantees the energy balance between the sensor nodes and the sensor nodes’ lifetime is improved better than the original CTP.

Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) cooperative communication system has attracted a lot of attention recently due to its benefit in increasing channel capacity as well as transmission reliabil- ity. Pioneering works on the topic focused mainly on either network optimization or relay selection problem. In this paper, we consider a joint problem of MIMO cooperative network optimization and relay selection. Two relay selection algorithms based on maximum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and maximum eigenvalue are used. Computer simulations demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed system over that using solely MIMO cooperative network optimization proposed by Wei Guan and Hanwen Luo.
